Internet Start-up Expects to Exceed a Quarter
Million Views in its First Month of Operation
Tuesday, March 20, 2012 – On Monday, internet start-up Dartitup.com launched with record numbers. Within its first twenty four hours the site amassed nearly 3,000 unique visitors, 9,000 page views and attained a 9.72% bounce rate.
"I was more than thrilled with our launch analytics," said Brandon Harris, president and co-founder of Dartitup. “Overnight, we've built something that's on a pace to exceed 270,000 page views in its first month of operation – that’s an amazing realization."
Dartitup, a male oriented content aggregator, introduced elements to the site that closely mimic how men challenge and compete against each other in real life situations. Administrators of the site pose weekly questions to the entire community and allow users to upload submissions in the form of pictures titled Challenge Boards. A typical Challenge Board will include topics related to sports, products and pop culture references.
Alongside Challenge Boards, Dartitup features Debate Boards. In an effort to spur friendly competition, administrators upload images related to various debatable topics. Dartitup users then have the opportunity to vote and comment on the images – essentially creating socially-influenced Top 10 lists.
"Letting the community develop Top 10 lists is something we're really excited about," said Michael Byrne, director of business development and co-founder. “Not only will the community enjoy voting and discussing the rankings, we see huge opportunity for brands to get involved as well. We think Dartitup has the potential to turn Debate Boards into virtual focus group sessions for companies."
Dartitup will continue to operate as an invitation by request only operation throughout the site's launch, but will eventually open registration to all.
Dartitup is an image-based social content aggregator with a male audience in mind. Internet Start-up Launches with Challenges & Debates
Union, N.J., March 16, 2012 – Today, Dartitup.com, a new image-based social content aggregator, launched with features that allow users to enter challenges and spur debates. The website lets users upload images to virtual boards and plans to capture an audience interested in debating sports, discussing their favorite products, sharing recipes and much more.
Outside of the website’s main ability to store and collect content, the service will occasionally pose questions to its entire community allowing users to enter submissions in the form of pictures – deemed Challenge Boards. A typical Challenge Board will include varying sports, products and pop culture references. Dartitup lets users enter as many images as they want, but only one will prevail as the winner – later entering the Dartitup Hall of Fame.
To spur friendly competition among the community, innovative Debate Boards allow users to discuss and curate top 10 lists. Dartitup administrators will upload images related to various debatable topics and users have the opportunity to vote and comment. “Debate boards introduce something new and innovative to social communities,” says Brandon Harris, president and co-founder of Dartitup.com. “We intended to mimic how fans of pop culture, products and sports discuss their opinions on a day-to-day basis, but through images. Debate boards will help socially curate list of the top HDTVs, the best basketball players of all time and the hottest new trends in pop culture. It’s going to be a blast.”
Over the next few months, Dartitup will operate as an invite-only community to account for scale and initial beta testing. Eventually, the community will be open to any registrant for same-day use. At launch, Dartitup will slowly roll confirmation emails out to its beta registrants – a pool in the thousands.
