Dustin Hopson - Actually, some Pagans or ancient Romans might disagree...
Jeremy P - But its not referring to ancient Romans or pagans's just Christians.
Dustin Hopson - Which is exactly why I find most atheists repulsive. They tend to not be atheist, but merely disingenuous anti-christians that don't simply "not believe," but rather have an anti-christian agenda, which is the antithesis of religious freedom. Carry on.
Jeremy P - I see what you mean with the crazy anti christian people. I m just atheist who doesn't want to be converted. And i don't try to convert others.
Dustin Hopson - I have less problem with an attempt to convert than belittling and mocking. The "I'm better than you" tone among the atheist crowd is off putting. I'm a Christopher Hitchens fan. Hitch could pull it off because he believed he was intellectually superior in all areas than those in his discussions, and generally was. Absent that, it's just condescending.

  • Dustin Hopson - The problem with this theory is that you require proof from any believer. One might believe the sky is blue....he is under no similar obligation to prove it to you. One might believe the sun rises in the east - and while you might call such fact empirical, the believer is under no obligation to prove it to you. The beauty of belief is that it can exist with or without you, and for nearly all, proof to you is of zero import. The Atheist failure is not one of proof or lack thereof. It is one of arrogance.
